Ice cold punchy on the beach? Don't mind if I do.
The punchy team have just returned from our annual Cornwall road trip to check in with our favourite stockists and some up-and-coming hotspots where we'd love to be on the menu.
So we've curated our top punchy picks you must visit this summer.
1. Prawn on the Lawn, Padstow
One of Padstow's iconic seafood restaurants, their small plates menu changes every day (sometimes hourly!) and local fisherman land fish right to the door.
punchy sits proudly on the menu in their original London restaurant and (fingers crossed) will be back in Padstow this summer too.
2. The Chic Pea, Falmouth
Meet Falmouth's finest falafel. Not forgetting fresh smoothies and punchy.... Obviously.
This secret spot also offers free coffee with your lunch and BYOB with dinner. The gift that keeps on giving.
3. The Allotment Deli, St Ives
On the cobbles of Fore Street in St Ives, sits the Allotment Deli - where you can find an abundance of fresh and local produce, including punchy, of course.
4. Surfside, Polzeath
Boasting a prime position on Polzeath beach, Surfside is the place to go for legendary rum cocktails, live music and resident DJs.
Soak up the sunshine and enjoy their 90+ range of rums waiting for you on the rum bar. We might be bias but we think punchy would be the perfect pairing.
5. Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, Padstow
A no brainer. Renowned British chef, Rick Stein, showcases the finest and freshest seafood sourced from local, sustainable suppliers.
Opened in 1975, their flagship restaurant in Padstow serves lobster Thermidor, Singapore chilli crab and turbot hollandaise to name a few dishes. Now imagine that washed down with delicious punchy. The dream.
6. Mermaid of Zennor, St Ives
At the heart of the town, a visit to this charming pub is a must in St Ives. A cozy interior, fresh grub and live music offers a quintessential Cornish pub experience. And they serve punchy... What more could you want?
